NAME: Nikki, Ike
CODE NAME: Coach Monster
ALIGNMENT: Pro Hero / Teacher
TITLE: Coach of UA, otherwise none.
AGE: 42
GENDER: Male
QUIRK NAME: KAIJU
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: MUTANT
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Coach has a mutation that has affected his muscles and bone structure. He appears to be a normal human albeit a very large human. However he's more akin to a monster with his peak human strength and Stony scales. It takes him a long time to morph between modes usually only giving him time to choose either or before a fight.
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: Coach can use his quirk to bring his strength to the same level as a world record strongman. When he turns up his strength his muscles grow and his skin turns scaly and teal. While using his strength form he has the strength to lift the front end of a car or drag it but not to lift it fully. He can hold this form for up to 20 minutes, however he can lengthen this duration by targeting only the limbs he's using. Just making use of his mutation for a few minutes can cause muscle deterioration in Coach at full strength.
In his defensive mode he can withstand the force a sledge hammer but the force continues through. He feels the pain but its doesn't wound him. He could take one blow equal to being hit by a bus before being knocked out in this form.
QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT:
Coach needs large amounts of calcium and protein in order to generate muscles and scales. These abilities are only limited by the amount he has stored within his body.
Coach has been on the edge of developing hypercalcemia from trying to compensate but his organs are that of a quirk-less human
The more parts he has transformed into that of a monster the more his mind becomes that of a mindless monster.
The scales are tough but brittle leaving them cracked after taking a blow. Like a sharks teeth the damaged scales pop off Coach and he uses up more of his calcium to develop new ones.
He can only create new scales from minor damage 3 times in a fight, and only once from something that doesn't immediately knock him unconscious or kill him.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 2
Stamina 1
SUPER MOVE: MONSTROUS RUSH < A flurry of blows thrown with reckless abandon, the strength and speed behind these attacks are remarkable but regardless of contact Coach will finish the attack leaving himself open if the opponent managed to dodge.
COSTUME: NATURAL ARMOR < Coaches belt and jacket have his old unused scales attached to them like plating. He's had the tech dept. temper and harden the scales making them nearly tough as the ones his quirk creates.
EXPERTISE: TRAINED SENSES < After years of honing his other senses, Coach can use his sight smell and hearing to spot things normal people might not.
FLAW: After losing a fight to a villian in the past, Coach has an obvious weakness in the form of a red spot on his neck. He wears it openly, his tanktop not doing much to hide it, and isnt fully covered in defense mode. He does this in hopes it will set an example to the students that everyone has weaknesses we can overcome. And that this is dangerous work, if one isn't careful they could end up injured or dead.
APPEARANCE:Standing at '6"4 Coach wears his usual clothing regardless of the situation. He wears an all black outfit save for a grey tanktop. He dons black loose fitting fatigues and clack leather combat boots. He wears a belt and small jacket made of leather and some of the scales he has dropped in past battles to use as kevlar.
BACKGROUND: The UA interviewer tapped his paper back into a pile on his desk as the large man entered the room. He gulped as the hero entered, his presence causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand up.
"U-uh hello Monster I'm glad you could make it." He said feebly as the man took a sit across form him.
"...I'm excited to share my knowledge." Ike said to the man his voice gravely and monotone. He cracked a force smile that only made the interviewer more on edge.
"Well, uh, you're definitely over qualified by your um, record."
"..."
"Anyway moving on to the easy part, please confirm for me your info."
"..."
"You're 43, lived in tokyo since you were 6, and attended UA yourself?"
"...Yes I was very grateful to the staff, for... Helping me leave my mark on the world." His response was meant to show his appreciation, but it only made the interviewer gulp and wonder what he meant. Rumor had it that Monster used more force then necessary on 80% of the incidents he was involved in. That's what the media said anyway.
"Um well we are aware of your negative reputation within the media." The interviewer said earning a sigh from Monster that caused him to jump.
"That being said however, we know also from the Police records that you have been nothing short of a true hero." The interviewer gave a weak yet sincere smile to the man across from him. Monster lit up inside but on the outside he showed nothing but a small smile. "We'd love to have you as a part time teacher and a full time coach!"
It's been 3 weeks since then and he was finally getting the swing of things. Now he only needs to get the kids to listen.
