Takahiro had little reason to go to the beach; in particular, going to the beaches was dangerous due to his quirk's inability to stay above the water. He'd occasionally sit in the shallows but even then, his time on the beach would be limited due to the hot sun shining down in the summer, making it easy for any distraction to activate his quirk. It had been a trip to the beach that made his mother give him multiple bottles of water anytime he was expected to be in the sun. His quirk should logically be easier to use in the cold, but the paranoia of turning to stone from cooling off often meant he burned too hot.
But today, the beach was perfectly mellow, its temperature neutral with just enough sun to keep anyone in the open from being too chilly if the wind struck. The waters were spotted with some folks but the less-than-perfect weather meant that most beach occupants today were here for exercise. Takahiro had invited a few of the students both directly and indirectly - using a pamphlet - to come along before he left. His shorts and water bottle-ferrying belt had been all he brought. Unlike most people, a quick burst of his quirk over his entire body could help disperse almost all sand. Jogging on the beach was a fantastic way to also work on one's cardio while training their ability to keep their footing on rough terrain.
My guess is I probably won't see more than a few of the others come along. But that's fine; as cool as I am, I can totally just pick on them later!
Takahiro's thoughts were so far all he had for company; he had already stretched and done a few warm-ups... and in a moment, he'd be starting his specially-made course. Anyone who showed up was officially cool and would be improving their fitness at the same time. And everyone knows you can't be a good hero without a strong, healthy core.
Unless your quirk is being fat. Then, I guess, being overweight wouldn't be that bad. I wish I didn't have such hard-to-steer classmates, though. The Academy's students are way harder to get praising me. Mom said I couldn't be a delinquent at UA but... ugh... she can't possibly be right. Every time I've tried so far to assert my superiority and independence, I end up helping them and being on even footing. It's like I'm going soft or read like a book. But starting today, I'll show them... and become the de facto boss of UA's student body!
