NAME: Descartes Shaman
CODE NAME: Warden
AGE: 25
GENDER: Boy
QUIRK NAME: ALCHEMY SHELL
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: TRANSFORMATION (delete as required)
QUIRK DESCRIPTION:
Alchemy Shell is the name of Descartes Shaman's Transformation type Quirk. It is an alloy-transmutation quirk which transforms his right arm into a weapon. By breaking down the sufficient quantity of physical, inorganic matter - usually the mass equivalent of a corporate trashcan - Descartes transmutes the material into energy which is then absorbed into his pores before reforming itself into matter enameling his right arm. Alchemy Shell covers Descarte's right arm with protective metal armor, which is platinum in color, but with tan and maroon sections. Also, Shaman's right hand is divided into two sections of tan and maroon colored plating, with metallic claws for fingernails and three maroon, the transformed limb splits open into three fins that store potential destructive energy of this Quirk. The fins, when releasing the stored destructive energy, will slam down flush with the limb releasing the the Quirk's power in the form of massive kinetic/bioelectrical energy reaction that he's classified as "Gauges" to both regard the phenomena of energy that is released as well as its heightened destructive tendency.
Each Gauge can be expended fully to allow a powerful punch to be launched at an object or person, which upon contact with, releases the full destructive capabilities of the Quirk while simultaneously sealing one of the three fins jutting out from the summoned weapon. Once a fin is completely sealed, its bio-electrical force will be released into the designated target to cause damage equal to four times the mass of the object or person, resulting in a tremendous blow! Due to the high level of destructive power contained within each of the "Gauges", the three max power attacks are the best he can do separated into 3 Classifications;
Once a Gauge is used completely, a burst of kinetic energy spews outwards from protrusions center which is then used to propel Descartes forward at great speeds, increasing the power of his physical strikes which release the full potential of the "Gauge". As such, Each Fin is notated as having been named equal to its amount of destructive force released. Though the destructive force of the "Gauges" are what truly makes his Quirk, the simple passive nature of Alchemy Shell enhances his right arms physical durability and strength to maximum heights giving him a standard punch power strong enough to dent if not send a tank flying.
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: ALCHEMY SHELL is limited, in a sense, that it cannot access its maximum output at all times. The three fins that appear protrude out of the weapon appearing on Descartes arm are exactly the amount of times he can attack at 100% Of his full power, slowly closing for minimal bursts of his maximum strength to help extend his limited operational time in combat. This causes the time limit of his ability in a fight to be very much limited. Furthermore, upon the use of each Gauge, Descartes right arm is rendered temporarily immovable as the strain on the muscles causes temporary paralysis (not to the extent however of destruction to the tissue or bones). Additionally, his limb will return to normal and he'll be unable to transform an object again until his arm is restored which usually happens after ten minutes.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 2
Stamina 1
FLAW: Because of his inability to function correctly in desert, sandy areas - Descartes has a huge fear of both the Ocean and Desert, afraid that he'll get lost either to sea or sandstorm.
APPEARANCE: Dirty blonde hair held in a short but messy design, His attire consists of a beige vest over a black long-sleeved dress shirt, a red ribbon tied into a bow around the collar, beige pants and plain brown shoes. He stands at 5'8" and weighs about 165lbs. Is considered extremely fit for his age and normally wears a stern look upon his features making him seem unapproachable. Blue-Eyes, cold and piercing, and a pair of glasses finish the adornment.
BACKGROUND:
Originally a transfer from the States, Descartes Shaman - Much like everyone in the world whom were born with a quirk - dreamed of one day becoming a Hero of Justice. Having grown up in the "Liberated District" of Deika City - Descartes was used to seeing people use their Quirks for their own means, be it for justice, liberation, fortune or otherwise. It was here that the young boy learned the true nature of strength and grew to despise those who utilized their powers for wicked ends. Upon witnessing a friend left paralyzed during a brief encounter with a group of powered thugs, Descartes vowed that he would do everything in his power to defend those of his hometown and the rest of Japan from the horrors of his youth. It was this, above all other things, that drove him to become a Hero.
During his formative years, the Young Descartes attended Shiketsu High School to learn and master his unique Quirk Alchemy Shell as well as the steps he'd need to take to perform adequately as a Hero. During his third year, Descartes had been able to obtain his provisional Hero license and as such was able to intern under the Pro Hero "Flashstep" whose unique power of wireless electric transmission had earned him quite the reputation for crime solving. It was under Flashstep that he had his first encounter with a true Villain and as well felt his first real experience with loss. It was this day, above all others, that would substantiate and develop the personality that he carries with him to this day.
On a Routine patrol of Deika City, a Villian known as Shatterpoint had been discovered with a group of captive hostages within the eastern district. Flashstep was deployed and as such he brought his intern as a chance to see just how Hero Work occurred in the real world. Once on the scene however the situation devolved quickly as Shatterpoints unique Vibration quirk brought the buildings of the block down upon many of the civilians living in the area. With little time to spare, Flashstep sent Descartes off to help with recovery efforts and to ensure that everyone made it out of their buildings, which the young man had taken to with earnest. As he performed his task a massive chemical explosion occurred in the area that the two Pros were fighting and - in a flash - his Teacher and many of the Civilians - as well as Shatterpoint himself - were killed due to the collateral damage. Having been first on the scene, Descartes took in the horrors of the flame in such a manner that he'd developed a small bit of trauma from it, paralyzing him in action.
Months later, and many visits to a psychologist, he was cleared for Hero work and - upon his fourth year - graduated from Shinketsu High as the Hero "Warden". Through the last few years he'd done his job dilligently enough to earn some small renown, and it was due to this that he'd received an Invite from U.A. Academy in Musutafu to come and take the roll of a Mentor as well as a Teacher. Begrudgingly and with trepidation he accepts and it is now that we follow our Hero in his new adventure.

QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT: Due to the nature of the Quirk, Descartes has difficulty in areas full of sand or grain. Though he is primarily effective in areas rich with stones and metals (Urban Terrains, Mountains Regions, Arid Deserts), grasslands and forests can be tricky for him as his quirk only disassembles inorganic matter (non-living).

Alchemy Shell's final attack - manifesting a large pilebunker attachment behind the gauntlet - Descartes focuses all 3 charges of his destructive force into a single blow. By causing all three fins to close simultaneously as well as causing the pilebunker to fold in on itself, Descartes releases a powerful force of energy that he can release from close or midrange. The kinetic impact of the wave of energy or impact of force is equivalent releases into an enemy is equal to three-times a Normal Gauge. However, once the technique is used, Descarte's quirk will disengage and his arm will be useless for a duration of time.

COSTUME: The Warden: A unique costume developed specifically for Descartes use. When Patrolling the city as "The Warden" he adorns this suit. Visually it appears to be akin to a combination of soldier and police uniform though with a longer flowing trench-coat like design. Two large pauldrons sit atop each shoulder, rotating around to the center of his shoulder blade and around the chest area. Connected to these shoulder adornments is a long flowing cape that hides most of Descartes torso and legs, though this is seemingly discarded when he's in combat. Atop his head is a standard police/office hat that covers his eyes with a black mask - obscuring his identity.
Function: The Warden is entirely designed to absorb the kinetic forces released as a backlash of Descartes Alchemy Shell allowing him to use his quirk without damaging his body.
EXPERTISE: Descartes is an advent student of Geology, having studied rocks, stones and precious metals most of his life. He has gone to school and has even obtained a masters for his Geological expertise.
