NAME: Mediogos
AGE: 14 (Year 1)
GENDER: Male
QUIRK NAME: DRAGON BREATH
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: EMITTER
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: While Mediogos' quirk could be considered a Mutation due to his draconic appearance, very little of it gives him any sort of special ability or strength outside of having sharp teeth. His enlarged eyes give him no ocular prowess that is any better than an average person's; he has no claws on his hands or feet as one would expect from a dragon; and his tail gives him no advantage due to its lack of strength, barely enough to push even a half-filled glass of water. However, his draconic physiology gives him the one key thing that most people think of in regards to dragons: their flame breath.
Mediogos has the power to exhale jets of flames from his mouth, acting as a close to mid-range offensive technique. These flames are created via two organs: the first organ is the lungs, which are able to filter the hydrogen from air that is exhaled; the second are special glands locate in the trachea that store electricity, the same electrical signals that the brain sends to the body's motory neuron system. By using these glands to ignite the hydrogen filtered after exhalation, flames are then produced. These flames can reach around the temperature of 1100 Celcius (2000 Farenheit)
The length and spread of Dragon Breath is dependant on the amount of hydrogen filtered from the air. For every point in Quirk Factor's Power stat, the length equals 10ft that expands into a 'cone'. The very edge of the cone's width is equal to the length (i.e. a Quirk Factor Power of 2 gives Dragon Breath a length of 20ft with a cone ending with a width of 20ft.)
By manipulating his trachea muscles, Mediogos can funnel the jet into a narrower steam, reducing its width at the end of the cone and increasing the length of it by an equal amount. For every point in Quirk Factor's Finesse, the width of the cone can be reduced by 5ft and extend the length by an equal amount (i.e. a Quirk factor Power of 2 and Finesse of 1 can reduce the cone's width to 15ft and extended the length to 25ft.)
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: The limitations of Dragon Breath is directly proportionate to how much electrical charge is stored and used. For every point in Quirk Factor's Stamina stat, Mediogos can use Dragon Breath before running out of electrical charge in the trachea glands. Prolonged use of this Quirk leads him to lose his voice as his vocal chords become tense and strained.
It also leaves him light-headed due to the amount of hydrogen quickly released from his lungs instead of being incorporated into his bloodstream to fuel his body. Constant depletion of electrical signals and hydrogen in a single day can lead him to collapse. For every point in Quirk factor's Stamina, he can deplete his resources in a single day without losing consciousness (i.e. a Quirk Factor Stamina of 2 can allow him to run out of Dragon Breath 2 times before collapsing on the third depletion.)
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 1
Stamina 2
FLAW: Mediogos is technologically illiterate. He has no idea as to how anything more advanced than an abbacus works, which can often lead him to failing his math classes. His lack of interest in technology means that he doesn't attempt to try and understand it either, leaving his knowledge somewhere around the time of the Dark Ages. Because of this, he has little to no understanding how much of modern technology works, being unable to use things like computers, mobile phones, or even calculators and cameras.

BACKGROUND:
No one really knew where Mediogos came from or knew who or what he was. Even he himself doesn't know the answers to these questions.
When he was just a baby, Mediogos was found on the doorstep on a random house on Church Street, Cambridgeshire. There was only a little baby dragon-like humanoid in a hamper basket wrapped in a blanket and a note asking for the home owner to look after him. Sarah-Jane Parker, the home owner and volunteer at the local animal shelter, took the baby Mediogos and acred for him as her own child alongside the help of her partner Mathew, a fellow volunteer at the animal shelter.
The couple did what they could to look after the child. Their small house and lack of paid working hours outside of volunteer work rendered it difficult for them to make ends meet, but they would never let the financial difficulty affect their new baby. Often they would go with little food for days on end just to make sure Mediogos has a warm house and food in his belly. For the first four months, it was a struggle.
In the end they made a difficult decision to try and get more hours from their paying jobs and bring their baby to the animal shelter while they were working. But, to their surprised, they found that everyone who worked or visited them loved and adored Mediogos, including the other animals. The couple would often leave him to be 'looked after' and play with the dogs and cats at the shelter. Everyone who went there wanted to play and look after the baby dragon, too. With each passing day, it was like his family was getting bigger and bigger.
As Mediogos got older, he found it difficult to attend school because of his looks. Often bullied, his parents decided to put him into home schooling. With the help of the other workers at the shelter who had money to donate from their paying jobs, they were able to teach pay for his teachers for a few years. Afterwards, the little dragon decided that he wanted to teach himself. He often found himself in the local library studying the maths, languages and geography books. It was at this point that he became infatuated with geology and, in particular gemstones.
By the age of 10 he was studying geology with one of Cambridge University's top professors after demonstrating to him his knowledge and understanding of the subject in an interview. The professor was astonished and amazed by Mediogos' study and passion that he took him under his wing. He even allowed his new apprentice to take some of the gemstones from their geological expeditions. With how much they were valued, Mediogos had no issues when it came to selling them and making money. He too was now helping his family financially.
However, disaster struck a year later. As Mediogos began to reach maturity, his body was beginning to change. One night he accidentally set the house on fire with his own dragon breath. Despite the fire fighters managing to put out the flames before any structural damage was done, the damage that was done went into the thousands of pounds. Completely shocked and distraught, he ran away from home and lived at the library where the librarians and caretakers looked after him for three months.
It wasn't until those months had passed that his parents finally found him after one of the librarians told them of his situation. In that time they were trying to sort through their insurances to get recompensation for the damages done. In addition, they were looking into anything and asking anyone that could explain what happened that night. Their information told them of a place in Japan called U.A. High School where people with special 'gifts' could enroll. After a tearful reunion with his family, Mediogos and his parents began to work towards that goal.
For three years the family saved whatever money they could as they stayed at Sarah-Jane's parent's house. When they finally had enough money to move outside of the United Kingdom, they began their plans into aquiring their Japanese citizenship and purchasing a small house near the High School. After their goodbyes to their friends, family, neighbours and co-workers, they set off to Japan within the month.

QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT: Despite being a strong Quirk, the fact that it is fire means Mediogos has to be careful. It cannot be used in tight quarters without adverse effects, which can include igniting flammable objects, risking a structural collapse if the structure is constructed with flammable materials, or risking asphyxiation as the flames rapidly deplete the oxygen in the air.
It is also impossible for Mediogos to use Dragon Breath under water. He would need to exhale to create the jets, which would cost him valuable oxygen. Even if that were the case, the flames would only extinguish themselves in the water regardless.

QUIRK BARRIER (Students ONLY): Despite the power of Dragon Breath, Mediogos is aware that he has little control over it, usually expelling flames whenever he burps, hiccups, or, on occasion, even when talking. It is because of this that he is often silent and conveys communication or emotion through body language and physical interaction.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 1
Stamina 2
Quirk Factor refers to the natural characteristics of a Quirk. Power refers to raw output potential of a Quirk. Finesse refers to innate control and manageability. Stamina refers to prolonged use and resistance to negative effects of their Quirk. You have five (5) points to distribute between these attributes. A Quirk might be powerful but lack of Finesse, or have a variety of uses but be exhausting. Eraser Head's Erasure could be 3/1/1, for example; he has a strong ability, but only the one application and a low usage limit. Consider your description and limits when assigning numbers here, as the Quirk Factor will inform all combat.
SUPER MOVE: White Inferno > Through sheer willpower and determination, Mediogos is able to overload his Dragon Breath and double its size. In addition, these white flames can reach temperatures up to 1500 Celcius (2700 Farenheit). However, because he overloads his electrical glands by channelling electrical signals from the rest of his body, he inherently suffers from numbness of body, light-headedness, and potential collapse.
COSTUME: Mediogos is always seen wearing his robes. However, with the help of the Hero Academy, he has retailored his clothes to be made of anti-flammable material. This helps protect himself from his own flames as well as fire in general.
EXPERTISE: Mediogos has always had a fascination with gemstones and, as such, has exceptional knowledge about them. From this, he likes to do jewelcrafting and, on occasion, uses his fire breath to try and create geodes and gather his own gems.FLAW: Mediogos is technologically illiterate. He has no idea as to how anything more advanced than an abbacus works, which can often lead him to failing his math classes.
