NAME: Hyakki Hoshiko
CODE NAME: Ramspeed
ALIGNMENT: Student
TITLE: Housewife Credentials
AGE: 15
GENDER: F
QUIRK NAME: ROKUROKUBI
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: MUTANT/TRANSFORMATION
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: The bones, muscles, and other assorted tissues of Hoshiko's head, neck and shoulders form a superdense flexible elastic lattice capable of precise control. In practice, this means that Hoshiko can extend the length of her neck, up to a maximum length of approximately 150 meters, and make use of it with the same precision with which one would use a normal limb- albeit one with toughness and strength far in excess of the average human.
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: Once Hoshiko's stamina runs dry, the muscles in her neck go slack and recoil back to their original length, more likely than not knocking Hoshiko flat on her ass; once this point is reached, further exertion will only result in intense muscle cramps until she gets some rest.
QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT: Hoshiko's quirk doesn't generate mass; rather, it utilizes the elastic tissue already present in her body. As a result, her neck has a rubber-band effect: The further she stretches it, the weaker and more vulnerable it becomes; likewise, this means the momentum of her returning head can cause it to overshoot her shoulders, sending her flying facefirst into the pavement if she catches it at a bad angle.
QUIRK BARRIER: A cursory medical examination shows the same elastic tissues that make up Hoshiko's head and shoulders may well be present throughout the rest of her body, or at the very least her core. Should she discover how to manipulate her other muscle groups in the same fashion, she may be able to stretch and manipulate them in a similar manner.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 2
Stamina 1
SUPER MOVE: FINAL DOGEZA BUSTER > By dropping to her hands and knees in a groveling pose, Hoshiko can fully brace herself against the ground when headbutting people, allowing her to exert the full force of her body's considerable mass in a single blow. Hoshiko's younger siblings describe it as akin to "being suckerpunched by a cannonball".
COSTUME: Hoshiko's costume consists of some gussied-up football pads and a large metal gauntlet she wears as a helmet, allowing her to grab things with her face. It's more useful than it sounds, but very difficult to take seriously.
EXPERTISE: Hospitality: Years of caring for her grandfather and younger siblings has made Hoshiko ideal housewife material; she can cook, clean, do laundry, and she can stretch a budget almost as far as her neck. Sure, she's no fancypants five-star chef, but when curry night comes round Hoshiko is head and shoulders above the rest.
FLAW: Hoshiko has her head in the clouds, figuratively speaking. She's innocent to a fault, possessed of a childish naivete unspoiled by the harsh realities of the modern world, and gullible to the extent that some suspect those headbutts of hers have caused some kind of permanent damage. Don't be fooled by her airheaded demeanor, though: Hoshiko is simple, not stupid.
APPEARANCE:
BACKGROUND: Hoshiko hails from the Hyakki Famiglia, a foster home for various orphans, abandonment cases, and victims of criminal neglect that find themselves the product of an uncaring system. Brought up by the elderly founder of the orphanage, Don Abate, Hoshiko spent the better her days watching over her many siblings as the eldest daughter of the family. They often struggled to make ends meet, but they always miraculously managed to pull through from month-to-month, and nobody ever went hungry. Sure, she never made many friends or had the chance to participate in club activities, but coming home each day to cook and clean for a loving family was its own reward. Hoshiko was, in short, the absolute definition of a Good Girl. But oh, how she longed to be so much more! To wear the cape and save everyone, just like her Nonno used to back in his prime! When she graduated middle school, she came clean with her family: She wanted to try for a hero school. To her surprise, they were more supportive than ever; Nonno even offered her his life savings to pay the train fare! And so, eyes brimming with tears, Hoshiko waved her family goodbye and set off to take the UA Entrance Examination.
Or at least, that's what Hoshiko believes.
In reality, the Hyakki Famiglia is a small-scale organized crime outfit led by the one-time Italian supercriminal known as Lo Spettro, who was forced to flee the country after a heist gone wrong. Hoshiko's beloved Nonno has spent the last fifteen years adopting and grooming heirs so that they might carry on his criminal legacy, and inside sources say that within ten years time they may grow into a menace rivaling that of the Chinese Triads. While Hoshiko remained blissfully ignorant of her Nonno's "family outings", Don Abate was training her younger siblings to lie, cheat and steal with the best of them. Naturally, they've gone out of their way to keep her ignorant; Hoshiko's moral purity is something the family collectively agrees to be more important than life itself- not to mention it provides them a flawless cover story. Likewise, Don Abate fully supports Hoshiko's desire to pursue a career in law enforcement- for after all, who better to have under the Hyakki Famiglia's thumb than a darling of the hero community?
