Rena walked through the hallways of the school, feeling quite a few different emotions all at once. Despite her being accepted, some family issues came up that prevented her from actually being able to attend UA for a good while. It ultimately proved to not be a big deal, as she was told by a staff representative that she'd be more than welcome to transfer in at a later date, so long as she was open for some tutoring to catch up with the rest of her class. She was more than okay with that, and so the deal was made. It took a while to get everything taken care of, but now that she and her family had finally gotten their ducks in a row, she was finally here. It was hard not to be nervous, but she was more excited than anything else. She couldn't wait to get the day started.
At least, that's how she was at first. Now, she just felt awkward. One of the things waiting for her at the school was the customized uniform that was being provided for her to work with her Quirk. She wasn't exactly thrilled about it either. While it has the same general look and style as the normal student uniform, she was showing far more skin than would normally be allowed at a high school; the blouse and skirt had essentially been reduced to a midriff-bearing crop top that was just large enough to cover her chest without much trouble and a miniskirt that failed to cover anything at all. Under this "uniform" was a grey bikini that matched the normal uniform's color. Needless to say, it stood out like a sore thumb, and she hated standing out.
Still, she did her best to ignore all of the strange looks and students whispering to each other. Had any of them actually approached her, she would happily inform them that she was dressed like this due to her Quirk, but no one seemed to be brave enough to do so, and Rena couldn't quite find it in her to approach anyone herself. Oh well. She'd have ample opportunity to clear the air, so she wasn't too worried about it. For now, she just wanted to focus on what she came here to do; learn how to be a Hero. Compared to how excited she was to finally be here, she could handle a bit of gossiping and awkward stares. Not like any of this was new for her.
