NAME: Jake Campbell
AGE: 17
GENDER: boy
QUIRK NAME: GALE
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: EMITTER
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Turbine can shoot powerful gusts of wind/air from his hands. The tighter the gust is concentrated, the stronger it is. For example, a tight windbeam is strong enough to blast through stone and buckle steel. A windball of air could break bones. Looser gusts of air funnel outward and grow less powerful the wider they get. The effects of GALE can be consequential at a range of up to three hundred meters, however, after one hundred meters the effectiveness starts to rapidly falter.
All Quirks have raw output and operational or technical limits. Some of these can be subverted (not erased) through Adaptations, but starting characters will be hampered.
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: Turbine can use GALE in a sustained fight for about an hour before he starts to run out of juice. Hooked to his suit's skypack, he can fly for about an hour at a speed of around 300 KPH. For a matter of seconds, he could burst at around 1400 KPH before becoming exhausted, but shifting supersonic so quickly would turn his bones to jelly. When Turbine exhausts GALE or uses too much of it took quickly, he develops progressively worse vertigo and dizziness, and eventually extreme drowsiness.
QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT: Turbine can not use GALE safely or reliably indoors. The air ricochets easily in confined spaces, and can hurt him or others just as easily as his intended target. He cannot control the windbeams or windballs after they've been shot.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 1
Stamina 2
FLAW: Crippling fear of clowns. If he sees a clown, he crosses to the other side of the street.
APPEARANCE: Lithe and nimble, of average height, with messy black hair, dark brown eyes, and a pale complexion.
BACKGROUND:
The Musutafu Shimbun reporter wagged the microphone lazily, "Uh, what'd you say your name was again?"
Drawing in a gasp of breath, the young hero breathed, "Turbine."
"Turbine, huh? Wanna spell that for me?"
"T-U-R-B-I-"
"-Oh, I get it. Like the plane?"
Turbine hacked a coughed. "Yeah."
Frowning, the Musutafu Shimbun reporter shuffled back a step. "So ah, what's your Quirk? You can fly?" He flapped his hands to demonstrate.
"I can fly, yeah," Turbine said, brushing ash from his mussed hair. "But that's not my Quirk!" He added hastily, struggling to clear his throat. "I shoot wind from my hands, see, and they travel along these hoses-"
"-Fascinating. Your real name is Jake Campbell -- don't worry, we'll omit that part -- and this interview is being conducted in English. You're not Japanese, are you?"
"No I'm not," Turbine shook his head. "I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada."
"Your whole family?" The Musutafu Shimbun reporter seemed somehow disappointed by this fact.
"Yeah," Turbine agreed confusedly. "They're like, all Canadian. My dad is a lawyer for the Crown on Quirk-related issues, actually, and my mom's a businesswoman in entertain-"
"Speaking of Canadians -- what's that ah, that dish you all love? With the gravy?" The reporter laughed nervously.
Turbine pressed his lips. "Um. Poutine."
"Poutine." The Musutafu Shimbun reporter smiled, delighted. "Well Mister Turbine, it was a pleasure. That was quite a fire you flew into! The Musutafu Fire Department had already saved everyone from the building, but with your gust-o, who is to say what you will accomplish in the future?"
Turbine brightened at the funny pun, dusting ash off his blue-and-gold costume. "Thanks a lot, man! I mean, sir."

Quirk Factor refers to the natural characteristics of a Quirk. Power refers to the raw output potential of a Quirk. Finesse refers to innate control and manageability. Stamina refers to prolonged use and resistance to the negative effects of their Quirk. You have five (5) points to distribute between these attributes. A Quirk might be powerful but lack of Finesse, or have a variety of uses but be exhausting. Eraser Head's Erasure could be 3/1/1, for example; he has a strong ability, but only the one application and a low usage limit. Consider your description and limits when assigning numbers here, as the Quirk Factor will inform all combat.
SUPER MOVE: PINEAPPLE EXPRESS > Gripping one hand around a fist, Turbine creates an extremely dense spike of air before delivering a haymaker punch that emits devastating shockwaves and tornado-force winds exploding from his knuckles.
COSTUME: SKYPACK > A jet aerodyne backpack attached to hosed gauntlets on Turbine's hands allow him to fly by redirecting his windbeams. If he attacks with GALE while in the air, the Skypack is no longer fed and he begins to freefall for the duration of the attack.
EXPERTISE: FREERUNNING > Turbine has been into skating all his life, which developed into freerunning as his quirk became stronger. He's now like a gymnastic and acrobatic ninja.FLAW: Crippling fear of clowns. If he sees a clown, he crosses to the other side of the street.
