Well, there wasn’t much of a shadow to begin with honestly. It was more of a dim light than anything, with the only thing bright enough being the moon high up in the sky. Everything was more-so blanketed with a slight glow, but obviously it wasn’t the only thing luminating downtown. There were streetlights, neon lights that advertised some energy drink… while they were indeed bright and practically lit up the city streets, it didn’t change the fact that nobody would notice the current robbery that was taking place within some jewelry store.
Well, it was kind of like a robbery, but without all the violence and the unnecessary noise. The window just at the front of the jewelry store had shattered, and the place itself entirely went dark! There wasn’t an alarm or anything going off, no red flashing lights… none of that! And in the silence, a lady stood within the store, trying on what appeared to be some amethyst necklaces. She would hum to herself as she examined the various jewels available to her, “Necklaces, bracelets… ohh, diamond rings? So many to choose from… hmm, how about both?” She would say to herself, quickly scooping up some more jewels. It was honestly easy just disabling all the security systems and whatnot, considering they all required power. All she needed to do was just grab hold onto the power supply and… wham! Now it didn’t have any power!
Obviously she had to be careful in what she touched, because her hands were supercharged at the moment and crackling with electricity. She would be forced to use her wrists to pick up things, and she had to force herself from slipping on one of the beautifully crafted rings she just nabbed for herself. She wanted to conserve her energy, and even if she had fully-charged battery strapped to her back, she still wanted to be careful as to not waste the large amount of energy she just absorbed.
She would soon eye a tiara during her search and, being of true royal blood, she would go ahead and (carefully) put it on the top of her head alongside her crown. After the deed was done, she’d walk out of the store, smiling and giggling with glee for she was carrying an armful of shinies!
