NAME: Chiaki Akemi
AGE: 27
GENDER: Male (He/Him)
QUIRK NAME: ROUND-AND-ROUND
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: EMITTER
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Round-and-round is a quirk that allows Torque to spin anything that he touches. It can can be something as small as a marble to something as large as a truck. He is capable of controlling the speed of the spinning, allowing it to move slowly or rapidly to his own whims. The faster it spins though, the more momentum it builds up, potentially even changing the velocity of the object. Offensively, Torque can spin a smaller object, causing it to arc and hit objects with enough force to break concrete and even dent steel. In addition, he is also capable of using his quirk to attain various effects, such as spinning actual people to get them dizzy or if he really wanted to, spin himself quickly, although he does not prefer to do the latter due to the side effects.
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: Torque's quirk generally reflects back onto him, giving him a mild sense of vertigo when he uses it even just normally. However, the more that he spins or the larger of the objects that he spins the vertigo that he spins slowly causes him to grow more and more nauseous and dizzy until he is unable to physically stand up or move around anymore. At most, he is able to use his quirk for an hour with conservative use before he suffers from any serious vertigo. However, extreme usage of his quirk may result in him experiencing this sooner.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 1
Stamina 2
Expert Analyst: Since he was young, Torque had always been great with analyzing things quickly, including coming up with plans or doing quick calculations. This skill was something he had since honed onto and become much better at doing.
FLAW:
Hubris: Unfortunately, Torque suffers from the textbook fatal flaw. Due to his expert analysis skills and his quirk, he is extremely arrogant and confident in his plans and refuses to abandon them no matter what. In addition, due to his pride, he refuses to run away from any fight until he is actually knocked unconscious in an effort to maintain his image.
APPEARANCE: Look
BACKGROUND: Akemi didn't come from the best background even with the fact that he grew up in a privileged childhood. He was in fact the son of the CEO of one of Japan's most lucrative and successful hero gadget companies, a title that he should have worn with pride if his birth was actually legitimate. But instead he was a bastard child, the product between an affair that his father had behind his actual wife's back. After his mother had died from childbirth, his father had custody over him, where he covered up his entire existence for the sake of the company. While he might have officially existed in Japan's records, no one had known that the CEO actually had two sons.
Yet despite his status, Akemi somehow became the favorite child. He was obedient, studious and intelligent. He was the model child when he was younger, always a role model to the others. He had earned his father's respect and his mother's love. Eventually, they had decided to announce his existence to the public, claiming that Akemi had been born sickly which is why they waited till now to announce their new son. But not everyone was as happy with this revelation. His older brother was jealous, often receiving the short end of the stick whenever it came to his parents. Akemi had always had a rocky relation with his brother, but after he was introduced to the public the behavior he displayed became even worse. He wouldn't hesitate to bully or get him in trouble whenever he could, although it still did little to influence their parents' decision.
Ultimately, his father would announce Akemi as the successor of the company, much to his brother's fury. The tension between the two brothers grew at an all time high, to the point where they refused to even be in the same room as each other. At the same, Akemi couldn't care about what his brother thought of him, instead focusing on the task of inheriting the company ahead of him. Because he was so preoccupied, he wouldn't notice the scheme that was being built right underneath his nose.
His life turned upside down one day when the family got into a car accident, killing his stepmother and wounding his father. While it was initially thought to be an unfortunate tragedy, his brother would produce evidence to show that Akemi was the one that had plotted to assassinate his parents, hiding it under the guise of a car accident. Akemi, of course, plead innocent, having no knowledge of this. However, the evidence that his brother had brought forth was overwhelming. The amazing life that he had set out right in front of him was suddenly destroyed.
Despite knowing he was innocent, his brother had managed to successfully frame him, causing a major blow to his reputation and the succession was once again granted to his older brother. Akemi was sentence to prison for life, only managing to escape death penalty when his father took pity on him. No matter what, there wasn't a way for him to prove he was innocent, and thus he was about to give into a life of imprisonment.
However, during his time in prison, Akemi met some prisoners who would begin to change his view on life. He had spent his entire life serving the whims of others rather than living the life he wanted. Now everything that he cared about was completely stripped away from him he had no other purpose in life than to rot away in a prison. Because of this, his view of life became more and more nihilistic as he slowly began to wonder what the point was in this world. Ultimately, he decided to go and learn this answer for himself.
His time in prison wasn't completely for waste as he had made valuable allies and even managed to train his quirk, initially overlooked because of how people believed that it was a useless one, incapable of anything dangerous. With the help of several more prisoners, Akemi had managed to escape and go back to the real world. With his real named tarnished, Akemi decided to go by a different name, one that was more suitable for the person that he was today: Torque.
Torque had spent most of his time since his escape from prison studying the world and how it had changed since his imprisonment. He knew that the world as it was now would no longer accept him if he wished to return, and thus he would fully embrace his new status as a criminal and found a new purpose which made life worth living. If he couldn't gain the power and influence legitimately anymore, he would forcibly take it back himself. He had also picked up a few tricks from his brother, learning how to manipulate people with words, allowing him to gain the allies that he needed. Soon, he would begin his quest to unite all the villains and perhaps even take over Japan in the process if he was able to.
CODE NAME: Torque

At most, he is able to use his quirk for an hour with conservative use before he suffers from any serious vertigo. However, extreme usage of his quirk may result in him experiencing this sooner.
QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT: While Torque is capable of spinning larger objects, the larger it is the more difficult it is for him to spin it. Because of this, he generally isn't able to spin thing larger objects without struggling or getting incredibly motion sick. In addition, once he lets go of the object that he spins, he has extremely limited control over it as it generally arcs around, forcing him to be precise when calculating where objects might land.
QUIRK FACTOR:
Power 2
Finesse 1
Stamina 2
Quirk Factor refers to the natural characteristics of a Quirk. Power refers to raw output potential of a Quirk. Finesse refers to innate control and manageability. Stamina refers to prolonged use and resistance to negative effects of their Quirk. You have five (5) points to distribute between these attributes. A Quirk might be powerful but lack of Finesse, or have a variety of uses but be exhausting. Eraser Head's Erasure could be 3/1/1, for example; he has a strong ability, but only the one application and a low usage limit. Consider your description and limits when assigning numbers here, as the Quirk Factor will inform all combat.
SUPER MOVE: SPINNING TOP > Torque pours everything he can into this move, either grabbing hold of a large object or a nearby person, causing them to spin at a rapid speed where he then pushes them towards his target, hitting them with incredible speed.
COSTUME: In order to help combat his motion sickness that he experiences when using his quirk, Torque has had a special device created for him that help stabilize his semi-circular canals so that way he is able to feel less sick through excessive use of his quirk. This device presses against the area near his ears, allowing the cochlea to remain stable while also not impeding on his ability to hear.
EXPERTISE: Expert Analyst: Since he was young, Torque had always been great with analyzing things quickly, including coming up with plans or doing quick calculations. This skill was something he had since honed onto and become much better at doing.
