The most recognizable feature is suit’s mask, which resembles a tiger’s head while appearing to heavily based off of traditional luchador masks. His suit is made out of a lightweight, breathable fabric with large tuffs of white fur around the collar and shoulder area. His suit is decorated in a olive green color with sharp black stripes running down his back. The stripes of his suit are made of at thin mesh-like material that allows the suit to “breathe” better. His lower half sports black tights accented with orange tripes down the side and white boots. At his waist sits a massive and decorated wrestling belt, the center buckle prominently displaying a golden, roaring tiger head. While ornate looking, the tigers head actually contains a hidden fan that helps cool the suit so Beltigre doesn’t overheat as fast. This mechanism is controlled via pressure sensors within Beltigre’s gloves.
Expertise: Mixed Martial Artist > Toraga spent an immeasurable amount of time in his youth learning various forms of martial arts. While he is not a master of any one technique, he has a wide experience with boxing, kickboxing, kung fu, karate, and professional wrestling.
Flaw: Toraga has Acrophobia, a fear of heights. Do to working part time as a professional wrestler, the highest he can go without setting it off is about 16 feet, or the height of a 2-Story house. Once he gets above this height, he begins to grow anxious and in turn his body tends to begin overheating until he get back to a safer height and calm calm his nerves.
Appearance: Toraga stands around 6’2” and is built very Herculean-like, muscles are well toned and defined throughout. His hair is a messy mane with pronounced sideburns running down along his cheeks. His body is primarily covered in thick orange fur save for the areas surrounding his face and abdomen.
Background: As a child, Toraga spent most of his free time watching professional wrestling, his favorite wrestlers being the Luchadors. Even before he gained his quirk, he became dead-set in trying to become a great hero like the wrestlers on TV portrayed. He was overly determined by this, must to the dismay of his parents. They believed his dream was a noble one, but he would often challenge bullies and people with more powerful quirks to prove his merit. Luckily his older sister was studying medicine to help treat his wounds.
Once he was old enough, he enlisted into U.A. to further his dreams. While not overtly exceptional in any one area, he did learn a lot more about his Quirk as well take better consideration into what it meant to be a hero of the people. This prompted him to slow down on his reckless challenges against others. Between semesters and after he graduated, Toraga enlisted into many different martial art classes to keep his skills sharpened and to give him better fighting experience.
After graduation, Toraga immediately thrusted himself into hero work. He started off relatively small scale, only focusing on areas only he himself was staying in. During his time as a localized hero, he caught up with a former classmate named Sen, another upstart hero in the making whose Quirk was Bubbles. The two quickly hit it off and married only a few years later. The two worked together for a couple years following after their marriage before Sen hung up her suit and retired due to the health concerns of her quirk. While this development hit both of them pretty hard, it also brought Toraga’s sister Chihiro back into his life as both she and her husband were doctors who oversaw Sen’s initial recovery.
With Chihiro back in his life now, Toraga continues to serve and protect the values he holds close to him, striving to better himself as a hero each day while sometimes having to watch his nieces and nephews while Chihiro and Shigeru are out of town.
