NAME: Adeleide Temori, Adel for short.
CODE NAME: Graffiti Artist
ALIGNMENT: Vigilante
TITLE: N/A
AGE: 16
GENDER: Female
QUIRK NAME: ACRYLIC NIMBUS
QUIRK CLASSIFICATION: EMITTER
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Adel can manipulate any wet paint within a 150 foot, sphere-ish radius through movements in her muscles, like lifting her arms or turning her body. Call it paint-bending. As long as any paint is in the radius, she can take control of it, but that doesn't mean she always knows where paint is. To take control of paint, Adel mentally swipes in an area, trying to "grasp" it. If paint is there, she then gains control. If no paint is located there, then her swipe is equivalent to grasping at air. For example, this means that she can mentally "grab" at a closed bucket of paint, and as long as paint is located within the bucket, she gets control. If not, it might as be a swing and a miss. In addition, ⅛ of her blood is made up of chromatic red. Extremely toxic stuff, but her body is naturally attuned to it.
QUIRK POWER LIMIT: Adel can fatigue herself if she overuses her quirk, becoming slower and her quirk losing power, and, if the line is crossed, collapses from exhaustion. This can include using too much paint in one attack. If she can’t lift a car, she definitely can’t lift a ton of paint! She can manipulate about 73~ pounds of paint at once MAX, which is equivalent to around 10 gallons of the thick stuff. And that’s only if she’s in good condition. She’s very prone to exhaustion.
QUIRK TECHNICAL LIMIT: If she runs out of paint, which happens way too often, it’s down to her bare knuckles to fight. Forces like strong winds, water, or anything that would mitigate paint in anyway can make her quirk almost COMPLETELY ineffective. Getting in fights against enemies in windy or watery environment are a huge danger to her.
Power 2
Finesse 2
Stamina 1
SUPER MOVE: Chromatic Blood Rush - By manipulating the paint in her bloodstream to circulate at the perfect rhythm, Adel increases her blood pressure, which in turn increases both her blood and the paint within’s temperature to dangerous heights. she bites her arm enough to bleed and allows it to spray into the air. Once the droplets of paint are in the air, she then directs them towards her opponent in a machine-gun like spray. Adel is incredible pain afterwards, and is brought to severe heart palpitations that make her unable to move until she can rest.
COSTUME: A backwards white cap, a black t-shirt, a white artist’s apron, black pants and a pair of leather loafers, all stained with paint. She has a bucket of paint hanging off her back belt strap, which allows her to pull paint from with ease.
EXPERTISE: Knows Savate, a french martial arts. Consists of rapid fire punches and kicks, aimed towards vital body parts and pressure points. Usually resorts to this if she runs out of paint.
FLAW: Tiny - her miniscule stature makes her prone to being flung around like a ragdoll. She’s as light as a feather and as thin as a toothpick. Against bigger foes, this could mean trouble.
APPEARANCE: A short 4’1, Adel likes sticking to basic clothes. A blue hoodie, grey shorts, and dirty old sandals is all she ever bothers to wear, since it’s inevitably going to be covered in paint. Hazel, always-glaring eyes and dark-fuschia, long, and wildly messy hair, which she almost always keeps put up with a wrap.
BACKGROUND:
A very rude child hailing from France, Adeleide was always obsessed with two things, painting and other such arts, and insulting everyone she hated, which was more people than you would think. She was infamous in her hometown for always painting large murals on buildings and monuments, using her quirk. Some of her works people kinda liked, thinking they were beautiful or elegant in a way, like a dove perched on a wet leaf during a rainy day. Others were a bit less elegant, like local senators being depicted in rather provocative scenarios… with other senators. The locals obviously saw this as graffiti through ashamed eyes. Either way, no one could deny Adel was extremely talented. Word got around about her ability to paint such large murals, and a prestigious school of arts invited her to be enrolled. She was pretty excited for the first time in a while, since her life was pretty boring. At the school of arts, she was sat down in the main hall, and givens instructions on how to pass enrollment. A written exam on the history of arts throughout the world. Adel… was not very happy about this. She knew techniques and could use them over and over again in any of her works, but she never took the time to actually study the origins of the very thing she loved, art. She had the lowest markings in the entire school’s history. Adel is regularly angry on a day to day basis, but the anger she felt now was new. Having nothing else to take her anger out on, she wandered the streets in the dead of night, cursing at anyone that would happen to walk past her, and kicking every object she came into contact with. As she passed a dark, damp alleyway, a hooded man with a nasty looking knife popped out from the shadows. He exclaimed, demanding Adel to hand over any money that she may have had on her. She obviously didn’t like this one bit, so she grabbed her trusty bucket of paint and slung it down with all her force, hitting the hooded man right on the head. Paint splattered everywhere. After making some small groans of pain and rubbing his head, the man got back up, and now was as furious as Adel was. He talked a big game about how he was going to sharpen his knife on Adel’s bones, or some other shallow threat. Adel turned around and started to trot off. He reached for her shoulder to stop her, but found he couldn’t move. Adel turned her head, and said with slight frustration, “Paint is thick and goopy. Wouldn’t you agree, asswipe?” The man looked down to see his arms and legs surrounded and gripped tight by the paint that was originally spilled everywhere. The paint slowly crawled down his arm and made its way onto his hand which wielded the knife, as well as up his neck. “Well, I wish I could say it was nice chatting...” Adel said as she turned and walked away. As she turned the alley corner, she clenched her fists, activating her quirk. Bones cracking and a short scream of pain were heard from the alleyway. “But it wasn’t.”
Adel finally reached home, a sheet metal shack sitting on top of a large abandoned tenement. She walked inside and collapsed on the dusty floor. She thought to herself for a second before leaping and shouting “If I can’t make a living off of a genuine career, I will do things the right way...” She ran out of her shack and leaped up towards the ledge of the building. “The slightly illegal way!” She jumped down, harshly giggling.
