"I think thwipping your goo at me probably constitutes a crime. That, and your fairly clear association with Street-Shark," Hardstar posited.
Rin growled as the tendrils whipped forwards; she backed up. The Hardstar didn't know what exactly they could do, so she didn't want to get hit prematurely.
From within the wildly-swinging tendrils came the tossed sack of money. Rin caught it, but heard the roar of an engine as the tendrils began to recede. Sonnuva-
Pushing a small amount of stored power into her arm, she tossed the sack of money atop a building on the left side of the alley; she'd have to go back for it later. Hopefully not much later; hopefully, no bystander would be tempted to go for it. The police presence should deter anyone from entering the scene, anyway.
The van had roared to life and was already getting away from her. Rin quickly began to sprint forwards, circulating more energy into her leg muscles. She couldn't use the stored energy to run faster.... but she could use it to fling herself forward at speed.
In the back of her mind, she was worried about the young wind hero. He couldn't be any older than some of the kids she was about to start teaching at U.A., so what was he doing taking on actual hero work? Provisional license? Those were pretty hard to get, so he had to be at least fairly comfortable with his Quirk, and competent in theory. But he'd rushed off into the sewer without even a word of strategy... so, inexperienced then.
The image of him, fighting that hulking shark villain... it sent a shiver down her spine.
Maybe...
She shifted positions, tightening the muscles in her body. With a great heave of her legs, she jumped up, and up, and up, quickly gaining distance on the van as she soared through the sky. Her legs were filled with most of the stored kinetic energy in her system, and when she crashed down on the van's roof, she aimed to do something drastic; with a huge burst of physical strength, she intended to send the vehicle crashing through the road, through the concrete... and into the sewer.
It would leave Hardstar mostly spent, for the moment, but it'd allow her to check on Turbine and Hammer. The young hero's safety was the priority, really, not the money, nor the capture of the villains.
